Created in tandem with Lana Stewart.

A visual dialogue plays out in this take on a still life between Gaze (N˚2)and the vintage French publication, Le Petit Echo de la Mode. The images are centered around society's expectation of how women should behave, juxtaposing Gaze with Le Petite Echo de la Mode, and thus exposing traditional "values" woman are supposed to embrace and represent.

The setting, a still life and dinner table, along with the various food and props, were carefully selected as they are often used as euphemisms for Vaginas and other female body parts.  The intention of this distorted still life was to make the viewer feel more and more uncomfortable the longer they looked at it. Moreover, the images gain a warmth to them the longer they are manipulated and reclaimed.
