  • No. Once the piece is dried it exists in a dormant state and growth is suspended until it is rehydrated.

  • Yes ! Small amounts of water will not affect the pieces. Mycelium is naturally water resistant. If water splashes on it or it gets wet, gently wipe it off.

    However, if the piece is submerged in water for an extended period (over a few hours) of time and unable to dry, mold may start to form.
